My creativity is grounded to, connected with, and intertwined with all things human. Creative human invention has given me an unending supply of materials to use in my work and I endeavour to incorporate as much as I can. I am fascinated with the juxtaposition of nature and man. As one uses the resources of the other to fulfil its needs transformations take place and a cycle is created. I wish to embrace the coexistence of nature and man by creating narrative works using found and manipulated objects. Letting the cycle of man and nature continue with a new purpose.
Figures are a constantelement in my work, as are birds and when combined are symbolic of freethinking. Other animals such as rabbits and dogs are also frequently used andare symbolic of innocence and friendship.
